On May 18, we are inviting you to go halfway around the globe and centuries in the past for a special evening at the Embassy of Mongolia!  Join the Ambassador and Mongolian diplomats as we step onto foreign soil to sample a country rich in culture and history.

Your very special evening features:

1.   SPECIAL MONGOLIAN MUSICAL PRESENTATION

If you have never seen a Mongolian musical performance, then you are in for a rare and unique treat!   We will begin with a costumed performer showcasing the HORSE-HEAD FIDDLE (seen as a symbol of the country).  Following this, enjoy a unique presentation of the Höömij (throat singing - involves different ways of breathing: producing two distinctively audible pitches at the same time, one being a whistle like sound and the other beaning a drone base. The sound is a result of locked breathes in the chest. Wikipedia) 

2. MONGOLIAN CUISINE: 

Enjoy a heavy buffet of native Mongolian food.

3. BAR

Enjoy a wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages.

4. DIPLOMATIC GREETING:

Meet the ambassador and senior diplomats from the embassy as they talk and answer questions about Mongolia.
