VERY LIMITED SPACE

For the first time in over eight years, we are very excited to return to the large and beautiful Embassy of Kazakhstan

Join us and his excellency Ambassador Yerzhan Ashikbayev for a very special cultural evening on Kazak soil.  Experience a land of beauty, culture, charm, majesty, and much more!

SPECIAL GUESTS:  Tonight, you will receive a very rare opportunity to witness the musical and dancing talents of a visiting Kazak group – performing for us exclusively TONIGHT ONLY! (Returning to Kazakhstan on the following day)

Featuring:

1)  EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE BY “TURAN"

"TURAN" is a musical brand of the whole Turkic world, a pearl of Kazakhstan's musical culture.

The ensemble "TURAN" has become an embodiment of ethno-folklore phenomenon that has conquered the hearts of admirers in more than 70 countries of the world, giving more than 1300 solo concerts.

The ensemble consists of five musicians: Serik Nurmoldayev, Bauyrzhan Bekmukhanbetov, Maxat Medeubek, Yerzhigit Aliyev and Zhantu Dadabaev, who master more than 30 folk instruments.

In their compositions, they use ancient musical instruments: shan-kobyz, kyl-kobyz, nar-kobyz, sybyzgy, sazsyrnay, dombyra, zhetygen, sherter, dauylpaz, tambourine, etc. They also use the technique of throat singing.

The national ethno-folklore ensemble "Turan" is a symbiosis of all genres of traditional Kazakh music.

As mentioned, they are only in the United States for this weekend and performing exclusively for ThingstodoDC.com and EmbassyExperiences.com.  Don’t miss this rare opportunity.

2) KAZAK BAR:

Sample regional wines and beers and nonalcoholic refreshments.

3) DIPLOMATIC GREETING

Meet and hear from His Excellency Yerzhan Ashikbayev as well as the other diplomats from the Embassy.
